Favaretto partners design studio
Curiosity, tenacity, and passion for research have characterized the work at Favaretto & Partners Design Studio for more than 40 years. Specialized in industrial design and interior architecture, the Studio founded in 1973 in Padua by Paolo Favaretto. Back in the 1980s, the Studio was one of the first in Italy to engage in business relationships abroad, collaborating with prestigious companies in North America, Europe, and Asia.
Silk plisse inspiration, deep “V” dress elegance
The designer was inspired by silk and further adopted deep “V” dress elements in high fashion and stage performance, endowing the chair with blooming glossiness with dynamic winding shape. Plis chairs fill the office space with elegance and aesthetics.
“Plis” Sit with Artistic Smoothness
Silk has unparalleled touch, luster and air-permeability, and is widely used as a high-end fabric in fashion design. Magic happens when these silky features were introduced to chair design. Presented by Italian design studio Favaretto/partners, Plis Chairs, with its artistic shape inspired by plisse silk, stretch out in a light and graceful form to create an artistic atmosphere for offices, dinning spaces, coffee bars, and outdoor spaces.
One-piece moulded, light, easy to move, stackable
PP+GF was selected and the original molecules of the material were molded by thermal melting with an injection molding machine weighing 1200 tons. There are no spare parts in the whole chair. The Plis chair has passed BIFMA tests: 120,000 times of back frame durability tests.
